Underground Utility Detection

We use Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) and electromagnetic locators (Radio Detection) to find buried pipes, cables and other utilities without excavation.

How they work together

Electromagnetic locators trace metallic pipes and cables precisely, while GPR also detects non-metallic utilities such as plastic and concrete pipes. Combining both gives a more complete picture of what lies underground.

Typical uses

What affects detection

Detection depth and clarity depend on the ground. Dry, sandy soils give the best GPR results, while wet or clay-rich soils reduce depth. We check site conditions before starting, use both methods together, and report the confidence level of each detected utility.
